As MSME TALK shared earlier, the Government of India announced a ₹25,060-crore export support push to strengthen India’s export ecosystem.

As part of this push, the government has come up with Component Market Access Support – ₹4,531 crore aimed at helping MSMEs expand globally.

Outlay: ₹4,531 crore | Coverage: Till 2031
Goal: Improve global market access for MSMEs and first-time exporters.

𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:
✅ International Trade Fairs & Exhibitions – Help MSMEs showcase products, learn global standards, and reduce high participation costs.
✅ Buyer–Seller Meets (BSMs) & Reverse BSMs – Direct interaction with overseas buyers; shortens sales cycles and boosts actual export orders.
✅ Overseas Market Promotion – Targeted campaigns to improve India’s visibility as a reliable sourcing destination.

𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬:
✅MSMEs (45% of India’s exports)
✅First-time exporters
✅Priority and emerging sectors

The support is reimbursement-based, not upfront funding
Approved costs are reimbursed post-event after participation and documentation
Focus is on measurable outcomes such as buyer meetings, leads generated, and export potential

𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬
Special emphasis on expanding MSME exports to non-traditional and emerging markets, including:
Africa
Latin America
CIS countries
ASEAN & Indo-Pacific regions

This helps MSMEs reduce over-dependence on a few traditional markets like the US and EU.

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐈𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬:
Market access is a major barrier for MSMEs. By funding trade fairs, buyer meets, and promotions, thousands of exporters can reach global buyers, diversify markets, and grow sustainably.
This initiative is taken to strengthen the demand side of exports, helping MSMEs build credibility, find buyers, and scale internationally.
